He is placed in the tomb.
No tears are shed.
The mourners will not appear
to pay tribute to the dead.
No sympathy for the devil.
He paid the price as he bled.

Ooo very cool. I like the hint of a bad life led.
Thank you 🙂
Seems like he’s paying the price for a not so wholesome life. A good use of your 33 words.
Thank you! 🙂
A wholesome write for a not so wholesome fellow. Like the simplicity in structure and rhyme. Thanks for linking up!
Thank you very much!
How sad to have led such a life that you’re forgotten in death.
I know – Thanks for stopping by & reading!
Nothing sadder than no one missing you when you’re gone.
At least you’re dead and won’t know it! Silver lining?
True….unless you subscribe to one of the life after death schools of thought.
I like this….well done!
Thank you!!
Absolutely love it! 😀
Thank you!! 🙂
My pleasure! 🙂
I know this isn’t what you meant but, I immediately thought of the scene from Amadeus where Mozart was being buried in a pauper’s grave, in the pouring rain, alone. Sad to die without your passing causing, at least, a tiny emotional ripple somewhere in someone. Liked the simple, rhyming cadence of your piece.
Thanks! It doesn’t matter where it takes you, so long as it takes you somewhere. 🙂
Good luck with nano – Good write.
Thanks!!
